not to get on here asking for dog book recs once again, but does anyone know of any good ones that focus specifically on working with primitive breeds?
I've got a few books about primitive breeds. It's less training them and more living with and hunting/working.
The Dogs of our Ancestors: A Compilation of International Essays & Articles
Hunting Laika Breeds of Russia, Vladimir Beregovoy
The Hounds of Heaven, Stephen Bodio
Dog's Best Friend: Journey to the Roots of an Ancient Partnership
Dog Man, Martha Sherrill
Dog Driver: A Guide for the Serious Musher
Dogs in the North: Stories of cooperation and co-domestication
Dog Sledding in Norway: Multidisciplinary Research Perspectives
I do not have these books but they look excellent.
Qimmiq, Carsten Egevang
The History of Sled Dogs In North America, Helen Hegener
Primitive Breeds Perfect Dogs, Vladimir Beregovoy (out of print)
Renato Torres, 1913-1974
Diana, n/d, polychrome wool yarn, 119x253 cm
Private Collection
Renato Torres (Portalegre), is one of the best and most representative tapestries of the European and Portuguese tapestries of the 20th century.
